NEW SPECIES OF JURASIC TURTLE FOUND IN PORTUGAL

A shell found a couple of years ago in the Portuguese beach of Porto do Barril de Mafra belongs to a new species of a portuguese turtle from late jurassic. Called Hylaeochelys kappa, lived more than 145 million years ago and is the oldest representative of the genus, and also the only turtle  from the european jurassic at the moment.
